MOQ & Pricing

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Our standard MOQ is 300 pieces per style for straw bags, 500 pieces per style for hats, and 200 pieces per style for home storage. Mixed orders across styles and colors are supported, though per-color MOQs are typically 80–200 pcs depending on product type. For new partnerships or pilot programs, we can discuss reduced MOQs on a case-by-case basis. See our OEM & ODM page for the full MOQ table.

How much does a custom straw bag cost?

Pricing varies markedly based on material, design complexity, quantity, hardware, and packaging. As a general guide: entry-level straw tote bags range from $3–6/pc in bulk (1,000+ units), mid-range designs with lining and hardware $6–12/pc, and premium custom designs $12–25/pc. Hats range from $2–10/pc and home storage from $4–30/pc. These are EXW indicative ranges. Contact us with your specifications for a formal quotation.

Are there price breaks for larger orders?

Yes. Price breaks typically apply at 1,000, 3,000, 5,000, and 10,000+ units. Material procurement costs decrease markedly at higher volumes, and production line setup costs are amortized across more units. For enterprise orders (20,000+ pcs), we offer dedicated production lines and further optimized pricing.

What payment terms do you accept?

Our standard payment terms are: 30% deposit to initiate production, 70% balance before shipment (or against copy of Bill of Lading for established clients). We accept T/T (bank wire transfer) and Letter of Credit (L/C) for orders above $50,000. For long-term partners, we can discuss open account terms after a successful track record of 3+ orders.

Sampling & Development

Do you offer free samples?

We charge a sampling fee that ranges from $80–$300 depending on product complexity. However, this fee is fully refundable — it is deducted from your 30% deposit when you proceed to production. Sample shipping costs via DHL/FedEx/UPS (typically $30–60) are at the client's expense. For existing stock samples, we can often ship at reduced or waived fees for qualified buyers.

How long does sampling take?

Standard sampling lead time is 2–3 weeks for bags and hats, and 3–4 weeks for home storage products. Custom new developments (new patterns, unique shapes) may take 3–5 weeks. We provide progress photos during the sampling phase so you can track development. Rush sampling (1–2 weeks) is available for an additional fee.

Can you work from my tech pack or reference sample?

Absolutely. This is our OEM service. Provide your technical drawings, CAD files, physical reference samples, or detailed specification sheets — our engineering team will assess feasibility and provide a cost estimate within 2–3 business days. We support all common design file formats including AI, PDF, and DWG.

How many design proposals do you provide for ODM projects?

For ODM projects, our design team typically creates 10–30 design proposals based on your brief, complete with material swatches and digital renderings. You can select, modify, or combine elements from multiple proposals. Revision rounds are unlimited until you are satisfied with the design direction before moving to physical sampling.

Production & Lead Time

What is your typical lead time?

Standard production lead times (after sample approval): straw bags 30–40 days, straw hats 25–35 days, home storage 35–45 days, and custom development projects 45–60 days. Peak season (typically September–March for summer collections) may add 7–14 days. We always communicate lead time updates transparently and can prioritize urgent orders when needed.

Can you handle large-volume orders?

Yes. Our annual production capacity exceeds 1 million pieces. Our monthly capacity is 60,000–80,000 straw bags, 40,000–50,000 hats, and 20,000–30,000 home storage items. During peak season, we can scale capacity by 20–30% with our distributed artisan network. For orders exceeding 50,000 units, we allocate dedicated production lines to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.

What if there are quality issues with my order?

We operate at AQL 2.5 (Level II) standard. If defective items exceed the AQL threshold during final inspection, we conduct 100% re-inspection and rework at our cost. For issues discovered after delivery, we have a documented claims process — photos and details are reviewed within 48 hours, and resolution (credit, replacement, or rework) is determined based on the nature and extent of the issue.

What is your peak season and when should I order?

Peak production season for straw bags and hats is September through March, as brands prepare for spring/summer collections. We recommend placing orders 4–6 months before your required in-store date to allow for sampling, production, shipping, and any unexpected delays. Early ordering (before September) often secures better pricing and priority production slots.

Shipping & Logistics

What shipping methods do you offer?

We offer FOB Qingdao/Shanghai (most common), CIF to your destination port, and EXW (ex-factory). For sample quantities, we ship via DHL, FedEx, or UPS express (3–5 business days worldwide). For bulk orders, we use sea freight (typically 15–40 days depending on destination). Air freight is available for urgent deliveries at an additional cost.

Can you consolidate different products in one container?

Yes. We regularly consolidate mixed orders (bags, hats, and home storage) into single containers for shipping efficiency. For smaller orders that don't fill a full container, we offer LCL (Less than Container Load) consolidation services. Our logistics team handles all coordination to minimize your shipping costs.

Do you handle customs documentation?

Yes. We prepare all standard export documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin (Form A or Form E where applicable), and Bill of Lading. We are experienced with HS code classification for straw and woven products. For specific market requirements (e.g., EU import declarations, US customs bonds), we work with your nominated freight forwarder or can recommend trusted partners.

Quality & Compliance

What quality certifications do you have?

Our factory is BSCI and SEDEX/SMETA audited with active status. We maintain compliance with international standards for labor rights, workplace safety, and environmental management. We also hold full export qualifications with China Customs and can provide material safety testing (REACH, CPSIA, Prop 65) through SGS or Intertek upon request. See our Quality & Certifications page for full details.

Can I visit your factory or conduct an audit?

Absolutely. We welcome factory visits and third-party audits. In-person visits can be arranged with advance notice (typically 1–2 weeks). We also offer live video walkthroughs via Zoom/WeChat for buyers who cannot travel. Third-party audit reports from our BSCI and SEDEX certifications are available for review under NDA.

Are your materials ethically and sustainably sourced?

Yes. All our natural fibers — raffia, paper straw, seagrass, hemp — are renewable and biodegradable plant materials. We track material origin and can provide supplier declarations. Our raffia is primarily sourced from Madagascar, paper straw from sustainable plantations, and seagrass from managed coastal harvests. We do not use endangered or protected plant species.
